Marketing in a Recession: Review of Top 10 Telemarketing Companies

Posted by on January 15, 2009 in Telemarketing [ 11 Comments ]

Telemarketing is simply marketing accomplished over a telephone. Often times, organizations utilize telemarketers to perform this task on behalf of the organization and can greatly benefit one’s business.

These services generally fall into two categories: business-to-business and business-to-consumer. Within these two categories are a variety of sub-categories, or services, which telemarketing companies can provide to you, their client. Services can include lead generation, which is the gathering of pertinent information including the names, telephone numbers, email addresses, and physical addresses of targeted individuals as well as what time of day is best to contact that person; sales, which is the persuasion of the person to use your product or service; outbound, which is proactive marketing involving contacting both preexisting and potential consumers of your product or service; and, inbound, which is reactive reception of incoming inquiries.

When choosing a telemarketing company to outsource, it is important that you balance the need to save money with the importance of having a high-quality provider. To help you with your decision, this section features a review of the top 10 telemarketing companies, discussed in no particular order. Telemarketing Outsourcing is often a terrific way to expand your inside sales presence quickly and affordably. Many telemarketing outsourcing firms are good if you provide them the list, script, and offer and then supervise the implementation thoroughly. What if you don’t already know the best list, script or offer? What if you have a new product or are new to inside sales? The standard telemarketing outsourcing firm is usually not well equipped to figure that out. You need a specialized firm.
    An experienced call center consultant could shorten the road to success and reduce both the cost and possibility of failure substantially. One firm, Customer Solutions Group, specializes in nothing but creating, optimizing and documenting the most efficient inside sales process. Their consultants have decades of experience and run the InsideSalesLab (a sales incubator that specializes in testing).

    After years of being on the sales rep end of dead-end B2B leads and dealing with poor customer service from the “established” lead generation companies, we started ProSales Connection. Our goal was to build a successful business by providing high quality leads and world class service! With support from Channel Sales Managers at tier one technology manufacturers, we’ve made a name for ourselves as a trusted lead generation partner for technology solution companies.

    To continue with the “Lead Generation” theme: (Nice blog spot here by the way)

    I don’t know if the rest of you agree but, the obvious difference between a lead generation program and an appointment setting campaign is that a lead generation program stops one step short of setting a qualified appointment. Some clients, involved in a complex sale that requires a vast knowledge of the industry or strong knowledge capital, prefer us to qualify the lead and then hand it over to the client to have an in-depth business discussion and qualify the lead more thoroughly before they actually set a qualified appointment.

    What you have to do is Select Target Campaigns: Some of our clients (Tech Company Lead Generation) request that we focus our cold calling to set qualified appointments on a short list of select targets. The Select Target campaign involves calling multiple times collecting information and escalating the qualification process until we set a qualified appointment. For enterprise targets involving a complex sale we can contact multiple decision makers and influencers to schedule a qualified appointment with each executive. All B2B appointment setting campaigns are customized to meet your needs.

    The Bottom Line. Would sales increase if your salespeople and agents spent more time with qualified prospects and less time trying to find them? Appointment setting isn’t just a necessity – it’s an essential resource to help capture market share, build your business and achieve your revenue goals.

    Here is what we offer, what do you people think in here about this?

    * Decision Maker appointments
    * You receive every email and communication with prospects (audio recordings)
    * (No Shows for you = 0%)
    * We have lists of over 25,000 potential prospects in the U.S.
    * We can use your CRM list if requested
    * Unlike most Lead Gen firms, you can directly call our Bus. Dev. people anytime
    * Your account status is done DAILY by Phone not email like our competition
    * Fast turnaround of your project
    * Cost savings and revenue increase
    * Significant improvement in the quality and productivity of your business

    Great post Gbravo! I know this is an old post but I really appreciate it, and I’m finding it really helpful. I am trying to do some research and find a reliable company to complete a marketing survey for me. I got several quotes from outsourced telemarketing from a few of the companies you listed as well as CCS, and California Marketing. Do you have any experience or recommend any of those companies for market research
