When it comes to growing your organization, the last thing you need is to be buried under stacks of resumes.

While most offices are still far from paperless, ongoing developments in HR software are helping eliminate the hiring headaches of the past. That’s because small business owners can now access web-based applicant tracking software (ATS) to help streamline the hiring process.

As an alternative to traditional on-premise systems, web-based solutions, known as software as a service (SaaS), put big-time functionality at small business HR professionals’ disposal – without the upfront expense of on-premise implementations. In fact, according to a report published by Advanced Market Research, SaaS users are part of the fastest growing market of consumers in HR software – contributing more than one-third of revenue for software companies.

So, if you think you may be ready to get rid of your Rolodex and clear that stack of resumes off of your desk, here are four systems that can bring you up to speed:

The iCIMS Talent Platform ranks #1 for outstanding customer service and retention. This robust talent acquisition tool boosts recruiting efforts and employee management for HR departments of any size.

ApplicantStack is a completely hosted, full-featured applicant tracking solution designed for small and mid-sized organizations. It is ideal for HR managers that need to optimize hiring processes at an affordable price.

Ideal for the small to mid-sized business looking for a powerful, web-based applicant tracking and recruiting system, AcquireTM Talent Management is used by HR and corporate recruiters to streamline the hiring process.

A formidable contender in the cloud-based applicant tracking market, Newton Software is known for its ease of use, speedy implementation, exceptional customer service and EEO/OFCCP compliance features.

A Closer Look at Web-based Applicant Tracking Software

ATS automates the steps from beginning to end in the hiring process – from receiving applications to scheduling interviews to hiring and even on boarding new employees. Central to the process, however, is ensuring that this work flow is easily accessible to everyone from the HR specialist to the CEO – and that’s exactly what these systems aim to deliver. Some deliver better than others, though, and we’ve put this guide (see link below) together as a quick reference of these systems.

Article is right about SaaS/ web-based software. We use recruiterbox.com – the easiest tool that I have come across. It has everything we need and allows posting openings to our careers page/ social media/ job search engines.
