Resolution: A measure of the quality of the image, resolution is the actual number of dots that create the image or text. A standard of general letters and images a minimum of 600 x 600 dots per inch (dpi) should be used while for more detail graphics a dpi of 1,200 might want to be considered.
Paper Supply: The way the machine accepts paper can be an important application for certain situations. If you expect a larger volume of copies it is important to look at the size of your paper tray. A multiple tray machine can allow for more ease in the need to use letterheads or legal-sized paper. Also, manual feed trays can be a great option for those odd-ball jobs such as envelopes or card stock if you will not need these options very often.

An unfortunate aspect of PCL is that it is not compatible with Macintosh computers and cannot handle more complex printing. PostScript on the other hand is the top of the line standard for printing languages. It is a very precise language and can handle the most complicated printing jobs.
